2008 Small Lot Mourvedre

Our Small Lot Mourvedre has spicy aromas of white pepper, anise and Chinese Five Spice. With flavors of plum, dark berry and Rhone-like black pepper and oak, this wine displays lively acidity on the palate and a smooth mouthfeel.

Vineyard:

The Mourvedre was harvested from the Raboli block. The Syrah was harvested from the Raboli block. The grapes were ultra-farmed, handpicked into half-ton bins, and hand sorted in order to ensure premium quality. The grapes were gently crushed into stainless steel tanks and pumped over twice daily in order to maximize color and tannin extraction until primary fermentation was completed prior to moving into barrel.

Fermentation:

The wine was fermented in stainless steel tank, and pumped over twice daily.

Aging:

The wine was aged in neutral oak for 10 months.
