The Grenache was sourced from our Marina vineyard, the Barbera from our Smith vineyard, and the Petite Sirah from our Ruby Hill vineyard in the Livermore Valley. These grapes were ultra-farmed, handpicked into half-ton bins, and hand sorted in order to ensure premium quality.
The Grenache, Barbera, and Petite Sirah were gently crushed and then fermented in small one ton bins, being punched down by hand twice daily in order to maximize color and tannin extraction prior to transferring to barrel.
The Grenache was aged in French and neutral oak for 13 months. The Barbera and Petite Sirah were aged for 13 months in French, American, Eastern European, and neutral oak.
