2006 Small Lot Duetto

Our 2006 Duetto exhibits rich flavors of black cherry and chocolate.  Accented by toasted oak and a hint of spice, this wine is both supple and bold with a long, smooth finish.

Vineyard:

51% of this blend comes from our Cabernet block in the Napa Valley, while 49% was grown in two of our best Livermore blocks, Golf and Smith Bench.

Fermentation:

The Napa grapes were fermented in small half ton bins and punched down by hand three times daily.  The Livermore grapes were fermented in stainless steel tank and pumped over twice daily. 

Aging:

The wine was aged for 15 months in a combination of new French, American, and European and neutral oak barrels.
