Vineyard:

Crane Ridge is the gently sloping formation of hills running along the southeastern corner of the famous Livermore Valley.  The Wente family’s hillside Merlot vineyards deliver fully ripened fruit with exceptional depth of character.

Fermentation:

The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon were fermented in stainless steel fermenters and pumped over twice daily.

Aging:

The Merlot was aged in neutral oak for 11 months.  The Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in neutral oak for 12 months.
