The Concerts at Wente Vineyards Raised More Than $37,500 for the LV Education Foundation in 2008

Autographed wine bottle auctions signed by the artists of various shows held during The Concerts at Wente Vineyards 2008 season have raised more than $37,500 for the Livermore Valley Education Foundation. Each concert season, the Wente Family holds several live auctions as means to raise money for the foundation.

Music has played an integral role in Wente Vineyards community involvement, said Fifth Generation Winemaker Karl Wente. It's an honor to host world-class performers at our winery and to inspire our guests with unique combinations of wine, food and music. With the tough economic market, music programs are becoming increasingly vulnerable, which has moved us to focus on preserving youth programs in our local schools.

The Livermore Valley Education Foundation uses the money to support music programs in the region's schools. Wente Vineyards has raised more than $150,000 through major annual contributions to the LVEF to date.
