Ann Wilson and her younger sister, Nancy Wilson first showed the world that women could rock when their band Heart stormed the charts in the ‘70s. During their expansive career, Heart sold more that 30 million records, had 21 top 40 hits, sold out arenas worldwide, and had a profound influence on rock music. After nearly 20 years of working together, each of the Wilson sisters took some time off to pursue family life and solo careers. The sisters reunited in 2002, touring extensively to sold-out audiences for three summers, and releasing a critically acclaimed live concert on DVD and CD, Heart Alive in Seattle, followed by Junipers Darling, the first new Heart studio album in a decade. In 2008, Ann and Nancy joined Fergie for a special performance of “Barracuda” on American Idol Gives Back, after which they hit the road for a 40+ city tour with Journey and Cheap Trick.
