One of the most enduring and original musical partnerships of our time, Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famers Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) have captivated the world with their peerless three-part harmony, inspired songwriting and brilliant musicianship for more than three decades. They have been called “the voice of an entire generation“ and in 1997, CSN was inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame, recognizing their massive contribution to the evolution of contemporary American music. Yet each partner already had their own substantial rock ‘n roll pedigree, having come from another hit- making band—Crosby from The Byrds, Stills from Buffalo Springfield, and Nash from The Hollies. $1.00 from every ticket sold will be contributed to Crosby, Stills and Nash’s supported charity, The Guacamole Fund, which promotes green living and the elimination world hunger for a more peaceful and sustainable world. http://www.guacfund.org/

For one, Philip Bailey has started an organization called the Music is Unity Foundation (musicisunity.org). Earth Wind & Fire's second charitable outreach is the Wright Life Performing Arts Center for the Youth. In the course of Chris Isaak's career, he has released nine extraordinary albums, twelve singles, been nominated for two Grammy Awards, acted in several motion pictures and starred in his own critically acclaimed TV series. And yet, this highly praised herald platinum-selling artist has never released a greatest hits album. “I guess I've just always been too busy making records“, Isaak says. Best Of Chris Isaak-the CD displays Isaak's many different musical personas: the rockabilly rebel, the brokenhearted crooner, and the breezy acoustic storyteller. And to what does he attribute the longevity of his career? “You know, I've never tried to jump on a trend, and I've never had to jump off of one,“ he says. “I try to do what feels right for each song. So I never have to go, 'Well, no more disco for me.'“

Originally called My Backyard, the name Lynyrd Skynyrd was selected to immortalize school gym teacher Leonard Skinner, a legendary antagonist of longhaired students. Since that inception over 30 years ago, Lynyrd Skynyrd has been an American rock institution. With unforgettable hits like “Sweet Home Alabama“ and “Free Bird“, their signature sound - a harmonious blend of guitar driven rock with southern blues roots - has influenced artists ranging from Kid Rock to Metallica to Travis Tritt. Lynyrd Skynyrd's ability to endure and rise above the death and disaster that has become intermingled with its history demonstrates the strength and spirit of the band. Despite the constantly changing face of the music industry, the band has managed to stay true to itself and its celebration of the working class.

Born the baby of the Black family and to a father who instilled the same fervor in his boys for his passion as a country fan, it was Clint Black who almost overnight began pursuing the muse of music with astonishing focus and devotion. In retrospect, only a fool or a truly dedicated musician would drop out of high school to play bass in his brother's band, but within three years Clint had his own solo gigs. At the age of 25, a chain of events suddenly brought him to Nashville, where his first album went Triple Platinum and each successive release also became a million- seller. By the end of 1990 Clint was headlining his own concert tour and collecting honors by the shelf-full. Clint has the rare gift of being able to craft songs that are both artful and commercial, hits that can be taken either as audio candy or as insightful poetry.

Scaggs has said, “I've always just tried to explore the music that means something to me. And now I know that I might be out of the mainstream, but I'm still exploring the music that I love.“

It has been 17 years since Lyle Lovett arrived in Nashville with a demo tape hinting of the brilliantly eccentric career to come-a resume that now includes twelve albums, four million records sold, even a second calling as a successful film actor. But amid all the success, Lovett is modest and self-deprecating as ever: When asked to describe My Baby Don't Tolerate, his most recent album, Lovett deadpans: “It's just more of my songs.“ Born in the Lone Star State, country's jazzy cousin received his first guitar when he was seven years. But music took a back seat until Lovett arrived at Texas A&M University in 1975, where the outlaw Texas music scene was in full throttle, fueled by renegade roots artists such as Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. It's here Lovett would often join artists in informal, front-porch guitar pulls. After three critically acclaimed albums, Lovett moved away from country to explore acting, but songwriting always remained his first love. As he has told the New York Times: “A great song is a song that makes you think, and makes listening an honest emotional experience…“

During an incredible career as a solo artist and with the Four Seasons, Frankie Valli and his trademark falsetto have sold over 100 million records worldwide and earned induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Valli and The Four Seasons had their first number one hit with “Sherry“, which crystallized a distinctive musical style- the popular doo-wop music of the 1950's inflected with the rhythm and blues. While remaining steadfastly devoted to the Four Seasons, Valli decided to branch out with a solo career that included hits such as “December, '63 (Oh What a Night)“ and the title track to Grease. And thanks to the volcanic success of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, which chronicles the life and times of Frankie and his legendary group, such classic songs as “Big Girls Don't Cry,“ “Walk Like a Man,“ and “Can't Take My Eyes Off You“ are all the rage all over again.

Starting in 1967, well before all the hits started flowing, Chicago established a reputation for its powerful live show. Fueled by a passion for music, Chicago’s members exploded the conventions of what rock music could or should be. Initially called The Big Thing, they hit the Midwest club circuit in 1967. In 1968, they took the name Chicago Transit Authority (soon simplified to Chicago), moved to Los Angeles and began making hits like “Saturday in the Park“, “If You Leave Me Now“ and “You’re the Inspiration“. To date, Chicago is the first American band to chart Top 40 albums in five decades - a landmark accomplishment. $1.00 from every Chicago ticket sold will be donated to Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation, which seeks a cure to the fatal children’s disease, Neimann-Pick Type C. In addition, a portion will also be used to help raise money for Hannah & Friends, which works to improve the quality of life for children and adults with special needs. http://www.parseghian.org/ http://www.hannahandfriends.org

More than just a best-selling artist, respected guitarist, and accomplished songwriter, Bonnie Raitt has become an institution in American music. Born to a musical family, the nine-time Grammy winner is the daughter of celebrated Broadway singer John Raitt and accomplished pianist/singer Marge Goddard. A Stella guitar given to her as a Christmas present launched Raitt on her creative journey at the young age of eight. Three years after entering Harvard, she left to commit herself full-time to music, and shortly afterward found herself opening for surviving giants of the blues. In March of 2000, Bonnie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; this was followed by her welcome into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame. Representatives from Bonnie Raitt’s green awareness organization, Green Highway, will have information at the show on alternative sources of energy for a cleaner future. Stop by the booth for more details. http://www.greenhighway.net/

If ever the words “living legend“ were more than just public relations bluster, the application would be to Willie Hugh Nelson. His career has spanned six decades, his catalog boasts more than 200 albums, and he's earned every conceivable award and honor to be bestowed a person in his profession. And on top of it all, he has also amassed reputable credentials as an author, actor and activist. Born April 29, 1933 in Abbott, Texas, Nelson began writing songs in elementary school. After high school, he served a short stint in the Air Force, but music was a constant pull. Nelson moved to Nashville to write and sing, and in 1961 his “Hello Walls“ became a nine-week No. 1 for Faron Young, and Patsy Cline's version of “Crazy“ became an instant classic. Since that time, Nelson has gone on to win eight Grammy awards, a President's Merit Award, a Grammy Legend Award, and the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award
